Until recently, the various forecasts that have been conducted on
the consequences of global warming, we find that until recently were spoken of
between 1.5 and 4.5 ° C.
But today, it is known that warming will occur late with respect
to increased concentration of greenhouse gases, because the oceans absorb much
of the increase in temperature.
Thus, the IPCC predicts by 2100 a warming of between 1.0 and
3.5ÂșC, and if it is true that these variations in temperature may seem
insignificant, will mean major changes. Among these they are:
Rainfall will increase from about 3 to 15%.
The desert areas are much warmer, but less humid which will cause
serious consequences.
Half of the glaciers will melt, so it is possible that sea level
rise between 0.4 and 0.65 m. Therefore, many coastal areas will disappear.
By becoming deserts, many farmlands could disappear.
